Industrial strapping and banding are used to secure items for shipment or storage. There are several different types of strapping that includes polypropylene strapping, polyester strapping (PET strapping) and steel strapping. Specs for plastic strapping and plastic banding include width, thickness, core size, and total length per coil. Steel strapping and carries these same specifications, along with type (grade) and tensile strength. Strapping and banding are used in a variety of packaging applications. Hand-grade polypropylene strapping and banding is used in carton closure, and bundling. Polyester strapping is great for bundling construction materials such as brick and lumber.
